Perchè non ci cimentiamo nell'ipotetica produzione di un the best of di un artista/gruppo a noi caro?
Escono molte antologie, ma spesso ci deludono...

Inizio io, ovviamente con i miei beniamini (ci vorrà un doppio cd mi sa...)

Sto facendo un the best dei GG, sono a buon punto ma la scelta e veramente ardua: come ha detto una volta Hairless, "il 90% della produzione del gigante è ottima"!

Non saprei con che gruppo iniziare...

OT: Ah Nemesis, sono in pausa prolungata con le recensioni, ho pure lasciato perdere un sito, non mi voler male

Io ci provo con i Pink Floyd.
I brani sono in ordine leggermente preferenziale.

1. Echoes (dal live a Pompei)
2. Atom Hear Mother (dall'omonimo album)
3. Shine on You, Crazy Diamond (da Wish You Were Here)
4. Sheep (da Animals)
5. Summer 68 (da Atom Heart Mother)
6. A Saucerful of Secrets (dall'omonima raccolta)
7. Any Colour You Like (da The Dark Side of the Moon)

The Dark Side of the Moon è un caso particolare, perché è superiore alla somma dei singoli brani, che sono tutti dipendenti l'uno dall'altro.
Le tre suite sono sempre stati i lavori dei Pink Floyd che ho preferito. Specialmente Echoes è molto spontanea; Atom è un po' rattoppata e con delle idee che si sarebbero potute sviluppare in maniera più approfondita; Shine on You è molto suggestiva e al contempo continua.

Questo topic non è un po' un doppione rispetto alle Top10 artisti?

No Hairless, qui l'idea non è di fare una classifica ma di inventarsi un the best of del proprio artista beniamino.
Della serie: vorrei un paio di CD dell'artista che mi piace di più mettendoci i pezzi che amo ascoltare di più, non necessariamente quelli che ritengo i migliori da tutti i punti di vista.

Praticamente tutta la discografia.....Considerando che, ad esempio, Three friends consta di 6 brani, mi sa che questi sono cd mp3 per farci stare tutto.
Un appunto: separare Mr. class and quality? da Three friends è delittuoso!

Ho lasciato stare apposto i periodi Coverdale e Turner, mettendo due pezzi con Evans (che uno è una strumentale, oltretutto) alla voce e poi solo pezzi con Gillan, visto che lui è la voce dei Deep Purple, a mio parere.

Esatto, e poi, se ho compreso bene lo spirito del Topic, conterebbe anche la sequenza con cui si presentano i pezzi proprio come nelle care vecchie cassettine.
Ad ogni modo ci rifaccio, con un altro gruppo dei bei tempi che furono, i mitici CLASH. Ho anche pronto il titolo del best of, PUNK & BEYOND.
